Dell is the company from Hell

After buying a new laptop from Dell-Top of the line-everything on it-9 months ago, I found it to be a piece of shit. Their tech support couldn't walk you through fixing a torn piece of paper while you know the solution is one piece of tape. The don't know how to talk ,listen or answer questions. They don't understand hardware, software or people. I've had all device drivers upgraded, the memory replaced, the hard drive replaced and the mother board replaced and it still isn't worth a shit. I wouldn't trust Dell to kiss your ass much less my own, even if they were making an apology. The problem isn't India or any other country. It's simply Dell. Drreamseeker54

    I've had my Dell laptop just over a year. It arrived with Vista installed but with instructions only for XP. Vista was a nightmare, after spending 3 hours - yes, 3 hours, on their "support" line at outrageous cost, all was offered was £19 for my Vista, while I was supposed to buy XP from them at nearly £200.
    There were other issues with the laptop, but after spending more hours and money trying to get help from their technical line, I gave up and paid someone locally to iron out the glitches. Incidentally, HP are just as bad with their customer service telephone lines.
    I have a long memory, and will not be buying from either group ever again.
